The good people of Imperial have become quite accustomed to seeing atleast 1 covered transport arrive in Imperial each month to deliver or pickup Corvettes and Camaro’s. Even after seeing 100+ cars being loaded or unloaded, these large, clean Plycar trucks continue to draw crowds. Wednesday March 24th was no different as Plycar rolled into town to pickup two vehicles at Harchelroad Motors-Imperial. Many onlookers took their time to drive by slowly, stand and watch, or catch a quick glimpse as they zoomed down mainstreet.
What was loaded? 1 Black 2008 Corvette Z06 on its way to Corona California to Callaway Cars-West. Why is it going? The Z06 is a lucky candidate to undergoe the Callaway Performance treatment, meaning it will be a Callaway Corvette SC652 when it arrives back in Imperial boasting a new TVS2300 Supercharger, Callaway Double-D Exhaust, a Callaway Honker Air Intake, a reworked intercooling system, Callaway badging, among other Callaway specific details. When the car is finished it will be known as the only 2008 Callaway Corvette SC652 in existence.
What was loaded? 1 2010 Imperial Blue Chevrolet Camaro 2SS-RS w/ 6 Spd Manual. This car is also headed to Corona California to recieve a Callaway Performance upgrade. When it arrives back in Imperial this car will be one of less than 100 Callaway Camaro SC572′s produced for 2010. This Camaro will have an impressive 572hp, a full factory warranty and a 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty from Callaway to cover their components.
